Katara illuminates Eid nights with variety of heritage events and dazzling performances

Doha, Qatar: The Katara Cultural Village Foundation is preparing to welcome its audience and visitors during Eid Al-Adha 2026 with a series of entertainment and heritage events and activities taking place on the Katara Corniche throughout the first, second, and third days of Eid. The festive atmosphere will bring families together and offer visitors a rich experience brimming with joy, heritage, and culture.

The events begin daily with performances by the Qatari Folkloric Troupe at 4pm and 9pm, presenting artistic tableaux inspired by Qatari folklore and its rhythms and songs that reflect the authenticity of the national identity. The “Katara Children’s Eid Gift” event begins at 5:30pm, an initiative designed to bring joy to children and share in the festive atmosphere of Eid. Meanwhile, Katara Corniche hosts a military parade, held in two sessions at 5:40pm and 6:40pm, showcasing precision and organisation and adding a majestic and distinctive touch to the Eid celebrations.

Katara concludes its evenings with a spectacular fireworks display at 8:30pm, illuminating the Katara sky with enchanting light displays that offer visitors exceptional moments and embody the joy of Eid with dazzling colors.

These events reflect Katara’s commitment to providing diverse and comprehensive programmes during holidays and special occasions, reinforcing its position as a leading cultural, tourist, and entertainment destination that attracts diverse segments of society and visitors from both within Qatar and abroad.
