DOHA: The Advisory Council on Monday held its regular weekly session and reviewed several draft laws, including one related to amending some provisions of the Telecommunications Law issued by Decree Law No. (34) of 2006, and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Cabinet.
The session was held under the Speaker of the Advisory Council, Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi.
At the outset of the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Advisory Council, Fahad bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read the agenda which was agreed upon. Then the Council endorsed the minutes of its previous session, according to QNA.
The Advisory Council also reviewed a draft law on civil defense and decided to refer it to the Internal and Foreign Affairs Committee to study it and submit a report thereon to the Council.
