Hosts Qatar defeat Latvia 3-1 in friendly

DOHA: Qatar beat Latvia 3-1 in a friendly at Al Sadd Stadium yesterday.

Goals from Ibrahim Majid (35),  Majed Mohammed (66) and Jarrallah Al Marri (81) helped the hosts to a comfortable victory. 

The friendly match was part of Qatar’s preparations for the 2014 World Cup Asian Zone Group A qualifer against Iran on June 4. Qatar will also play Uzbekistan on June 11.
