Bhopal--A day after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) submitted a report calling the evidence submitted by Digvijaya Singh in the MPPEB scam ‘forgery’, the BJP on Saturday launched a frontal attack on the AICC general secretary accusing him of hatching a conspiracy to defame Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
“We won’t sit idle. On political front, we will disrobe him (Digambar karenge) because he has crossed all limits of democracy,” BJP chief Nandkumar Chouhan told reporters at the party headquarters in Bhopal.
He said the party was in talks with legal experts to find out how criminal proceedings could be initiated against the Congress leader for trying to mislead the judiciary.
The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister had alleged in February that an original hard disk seized from an MPPEB official had been tampered with to ensure a clean shit for Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and to implicate others.
The BJP chief said “the CM has come out unscathed from the agnipariksha.”
