Doha: Qatar and Algeria yesterday signed a slew of agreements yesterday after a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani and Algeria’s Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal.
The Prime Minsters witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) and Algeria’s National Company for Exploration and Production of hydrocarbons (Sonatrach), a MoU between the Gulf Warehousing Company and Algeria’s National Agency for Real Estate Brokerage Control, a partnership agreement between Qatar Petroleum International and Asmedall and Manal Complex for the production of phosphoric acid and fertiliser ammonium phosphate, a partnership agreement between Qatar Petroleum International and Asmedall and Manal Complex for the production of ammonia, ammonium nitrate and calcium ammonium nitrate and an agreement between Qatar Steel Company and Industrial Park Cedar for the establishment of an industrial complex in Blarh Jijel (Algeria) for the production and marketing of steel products.
