DOHA: The Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center has launched a journal on rule of law and anti-corruption ‘ROLACC’, which is first of its kind. “ROLACC is an abbreviation of Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center,” said Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal and Chairman Board of Trustees.
He said ROLACC is the first journal on the issues of the rule of law and anti-corruption in the world and second journal on the issues of corruption.
Al Marri was speaking with media person on the sidelines of the first meeting of the executive board members of the Journal and launch of the journal held at the headquarters of the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center on Thursday. “First edition of ROLACC journal will appear after six months from now in English, then in Arabic and French,” said Al Marri.
“Enough hard copies of the journal will be published to distribute in all the universities,” said Al Marri adding that the journal will have its separate website to make it available online.
“ROLACC’s journal is considered as the one and the only journal that specifically tackles issues of rule of law and anti-corruption,” said Dr Reem AI Ansari, Managing Editor of the Journal.
She said that it is the first peer-reviewed international Journal that serves as a platform for all experts. It is a biannual and bilingual publication. It has a well- structure managerial leadership consisted of diversified international officials and academics.
This journal will be the solid foundation for all anti-corruption and rule of law related topics. ROLACC Journal will publish original articles on all aspects of anti-corruption including Rule of Law.
“We will publish papers concerned with important laws or evolutionary questions, studies of civil society engagement, resources management, justice sector, anti-trust issues, legal systems comparisons, sports, finance, cross-border interrogations,” said Al Ansari.
She said that ROLACC’ Journal will be the platform for the physical and digital content of rule of law and governance and anti- corruption’s studies and references in the world. ROLACC Journal will be published by Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) press.
“The inclusion of the ROLACC Journal within the academic journal of HBKU press confirms our commitments as university publishing house to publish the latest and most important information for researchers and readers,” said Bachar Chebaro, CEO of the HBKU press.
