Q-Chem officials on the occasion of blood donation drive held at Amwal Tower.
Doha: Qatar Chemical Company Ltd. (Q-Chem) held a blood donation drive in Ras Laffan (RLOC), Q-Chem headquarters, and Mesaieed in November.
The campaign was organised in coordination with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Blood Donation Unit.
All employees, contractors, and the company leadership team had shown up to support and contribute to the blood drive, exemplifying great character and their commitment to giving back to the community.
Q-Chem health care personnel worked with the medical team from HMC to facilitate the event. The fully equipped blood donation bus went to all Q-Chem locations to provide the opportunity to as many as possible. The initiative has successfully contributed to the vital blood stocks in Qatar.
All employees had a great opportunity to experience the power of donating to a noble cause. HMC nurses worked tirelessly and diligently to accommodate all volunteers.
A total of 139 units of blood were collected from all the employees, including people from different companies in Amwal Tower, Q-Chem headquarters.
Q-Chem reached out to its neighbours as part of community outreach and engaged them in this humanitarian drive.
The blood donation campaign is an annual commitment for Q-Chem. "We have developed a strong CSR strategy and are committed to initiatives that help build a healthy society, give back to the community and forge strong bonds. It’s part of Q-Chem’s corporate social responsibility strategy (CSR) and an essential part of its core values," a statement said.
