Ramallah: Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, met on Tuesday with French President, Emmanuel Macron, who is visiting the occupied Palestinian territories.

The two discussed the latest developments on the Palestinian stage, along with the challenging circumstances facing the Palestinian people due to the Israeli occupation's aggression in which the occupation uses its devastating military machine to kill innocent civilians in Gaza Strip, giving no qualms about the international humanitarian law, in addition to the daily basis assaults and murder against Palestinian people in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Abbas demanded the United Nations Security Council to immediately stop the aggression and provide the urgent international protection for Palestinian people, convene an international peace conference, ensure transition to the political solution through implementing the two-state solution based on the international legitimacy.
He also called for opening permanent humanitarian relief corridors to get medical and food items into Palestine, in addition to providing water, electricity, fuel and other essentials for Palestinians.

Palestinian President held the Israeli occupation responsible for exterminating entire families, pummeling hospitals and cutting off water from the entire nation, stressing that world nations share this responsibility as well, because those nations emboldened Israel to intensify its aggressive practices against Palestinians without accountability or punishment, but only granting the Israeli entity the coverup and protection for self-defense.

Following the meeting, Macron underscored the principle of the two-state solution to help Palestinians and Israelis live side by side in peace and security.
