DOHA: In a renewed commitment to protecting the environment and reducing production cost the Doha-based Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) holds a workshop to develop industrial sector’s capacities in the area of energy efficiency.
In an unremitting endeavour to develop the capacities of the industrial sector and a constant commitment to encourage the participation of Gulf industries in environment protection and pollution reduction projects and activities, the GOIC holds a workshop about "energy efficiency in the industrial sector" between the 27th and the 31st of October, 2013 at the Organization’s headquarters in Doha.
The workshop is customized for staff in governmental agencies and departments specialized in energy, oil and gas, stakeholders in the area of energy consumption rationalization and environmental protection and technicians operating industrial facilities.
The training will tackle various topics including: energy definition, types and efficiency, international and Gulf energy production, GCC high consumption sectors and equipment, calculating energy consumption, the link between energy consumption and industrial development, the connection between energy efficiency and environmental protection, pollution reduction and operating and maintenance cost.
In addition, GOIC will present its experience in the area of reducing energy consumption in factories and firms.
The workshop will be delivered and moderated by Engineer Mubarak Bin Ibrahim Al-Kuwari, GOIC energy expert who holds a Master’s Degree in chemical engineering and energy management from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
