Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has launched the “Zad Al-Mubtaath” programme for the 2026–2027 academic year, preparing students selected for scholarships to begin their studies abroad.
Organised by the Ministry’s Scholarships Department, the five-day programme runs from August 23 to 27 at the Ministry’s headquarters, bringing together a group of academics and specialists to equip scholarship candidates with the knowledge and skills needed for their educational journey overseas.
The programme covers a wide range of areas, including religious and ethical awareness, psychological and social wellbeing, financial management, security, and academic preparation. It is designed to help students adapt successfully to new educational and cultural environments while promoting responsible representation of Qatar abroad.
In her remarks, Director of the Scholarships Department Noura Mohammed Al Ansari welcomed the participating students and highlighted the programme’s importance as a key stage in their scholarship journey.
She stressed the Ministry’s commitment to providing scholarship students with the knowledge and skills required for academic success and cultural integration in their destination countries. She also noted that “Zad Al-Mubtaath” reflects the Ministry’s vision of supporting students so they can serve as distinguished ambassadors of Qatar in international academic settings.
Al Ansari said the programme would remain a source of support for scholarship students throughout their entire scholarship journey, from the beginning of their studies until completion. The first day featured several specialised tracks covering religious, psychological and social, financial, and security aspects.
The sessions were alternated between male and female students to ensure equal opportunities and balanced participation.
The programme also included discussion sessions and direct question-and-answer opportunities with speakers, as well as meetings with prominent academic and cultural figures.
These included a meeting with the British Cultural Attaché and a presentation by a model student, who shared a real-life experience aimed at inspiring and guiding the participants.
The Scholarships Department said the programme forms part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to support scholarship students and provide them with practical experience that enhances their academic performance and facilitates their integration into new communities.
The initiative also represents a practical step toward preparing a generation capable of engaging positively and confidently with diverse educational and cultural environments while representing Qatar overseas.
