Central Bank of Oman issues treasury bills worth OMR 15.5 Million

Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman announced on Monday that the value of allocated government treasury bills this week amounted to OMR 15.5 million.

According to the statement, the allocated bills of 91 days maturity were OMR 3 million, which were offered at an average accepted price of OMR 99.050 per OMR 100 card, and a minimum accepted price of OMR 99.050 per OMR 100 card. The average discount rate was 3.81044 percent, and the average yield was 3.84699 percent.

In addition, the allocated bills of 182 days maturity were OMR 12.5 million, which were offered at an average accepted price of OMR 98.093 per OMR 100 card, and a minimum accepted price of OMR 98.065 per OMR 100 card. The average discount rate was 3.82448 percent, while the average yield was 3.89884 percent.

The statement mentioned that the repurchase agreements (repo) interest rate for treasury bills by the Central Bank of Oman is 4.25 percent, while the discount rate for treasury bill facilities is 4.75 percent.
