College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) has announced that it will support Qatari students whose studies have been affected by the blockade by neighbouring countries.
Qatari students who have been attending programmes in institutions affected by the blockade and who would like to continue their diploma programmes in September 2017 may do so at CNA-Q.
Each student will have their academic experience assessed to meet admission standards, and will be placed in the correct programme and courses. Where appropriate, students will receive advanced standing for courses taken abroad. CNA-Q is Qatar’s premier technical college, offering 30 diploma programmes in Business Studies, Engineering Technology, Health Science and Information Technology. All students have pathways to degree credentials upon completion of their diploma programme.
For international students, there are still three programmes accepting applications for September 2017 in the School of Health Science: Occupational Health and Safety is a two-year programme, and the Environmental Health three-year programme.
Both programmes prepare students to work in the health, safety and inspection fields, as required in many of Qatar’s industry sectors.
The Health Education: Diabetes advanced diploma is as a one-year part-time program for working professionals who would like to specialize in the area of diabetes education and care.
The programme is completed part-time over the course of one academic year. Each week there will be between six and 12 hours of classes in the mornings or early evenings, to accommodate working professionals with families.
