QCA conducts umpiring course

DOHA: The Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) conducted a six-day basic umpiring course for the beginners from June 1 to June 5 at the Qatar Cricket Association Auditorium.
The course was conducted by Asian Cricket Council (ACC) qualified Level-2 Umpire Muhammad Nasim and was assisted by the QCA Umpires Coordinator Mohamed Nawas.
A total of 22 participants attended the course and it was highly successful as most of candidates passed the exam, that was conducted after conclusion of the course.
The participants were active and asked many questions to ensure if they understood the Laws of the game.
Certificates were issued to the successful participants by Manzoor Ahamed, General Secretary, QCA.
Development Officer Ch Mukhtar Ahmad, Technical Director Syed Hassan Raza, Coach Educator Muhammad Nasim  and Umpiring Coordinator Mohamed Nawas were also present on the occasion.  
During the ceremony the General Secretary advised the participants that they have very important role to play in the field where they have to work with integrity and without bias under all the circumstances and wished them for the success.
The participants of the course include Mohamed Rizlan, Aminul Islam, Saman Fonseka, Muhammad Nusrat Ali, Ansar Mahmood, Upul Nilanka Bandara, Sanath Pushpakumara, Syed Hassan Raza, Farukh Imtiaz, Shehzad Hassan Khan, Naeem Akbar, Muhammad Umer Shafiq, Ali Assadullah, Waqas Afzal and Muhammad Mujtaba Saeed.
