Doha: Kerala Women’s Initiative Qatar (KWIQ) held its annual programme “KWIQ UTSAV” on May 19, 2022, at the Ashoka Hall in Indian Cultural Centre. KWIQ members and children presented dance and music performances. The programme that lasted for three hours also included a fashion show with ethnic and fusion wear as the theme.
“We are extremely grateful to have received an overwhelming crowd to witness the spectacular performances staged by our members. We had over ninety performers and we feel highly elated to have received excellent reviews from the audience regarding the programme and this certainly motivates us to do more of such cultural shows” said Zareen Ahad, KWIQ President.
P N Baburajan, ICC President, was the chief guest of the programme along with guest of honour Hariprashanth Varma, Malayalam Cine Artist, famous for essaying the role of “Lassar” in the movie AADU 2. RJ Nisa from 91.7 Radio Suno was the Special Guest of the evening.
For his continuous support towards KWIQ and for all the initiatives undertaken by him and his team for the betterment of the Indian Community, P N Baburajan, ICC President, was honoured with a hand sketched portrait made by Faisal Kuppayi. The programme was also attended by notable community leaders along with managing committee members of ICC and other apex bodies.
