Doha: Birla Public School has been declared as the League Runner-up in the Qatar Preparatory School Debate League for Season 2021-22 (QPSDL – Girls). The award ceremony was held at Education City recently.
The event was organised by Qatar Debate Centre, a member of Qatar Foundation.
BPS claimed the title based on the total number of team wins and the total team scores of the top two teams of each school that participated in the league rounds of the QPSDL in the Open category. Devipriya Chandhirahasan, Sandra Joice, Devika Manikantan, Liya Joseph K Petrisha Steven and Aalia Mazhar Khan were the members of the debate teams trained by coach Aman Salma.
The league witnessed enthusiastic competition among the participants and Sandra Joice (3rd Position) Devipriya Chandhirahasan (4th) were among Top Ten speakers.
