Doha: H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum (QP), will preside over the formal announcement of winners of the Qatar Oil & Gas Industry HSE Excellence Awards 2012, which will be held tomorrow (April 25), at Sheraton Doha.
The main objective of the awards is to recognise companies that are implementing outstanding programmes and initiatives to achieve excellence in managing the range of occupational health and safety risks as well as environmental impacts in their day-to-day operations. The is administered by QP’s Corporate Health, Safety, and Environment Department.
The award ceremony will recognise a total of nine winners from QP operations, QP’s joint venture companies and contractors. The winners from each category will be categorised as Gold, Silver, or Bronze awardees and they will all receive certificates of HSE Excellence from Al Sada.
