Doha: Qatar Handball Association (QHA) yesterday announced the national beach handball squad, which will take part in the 8th Asian Beach Handball Championship.
The event, which will act as qualifying tournament for this June’s 2022 Beach Handball World Championships in Greece, will be held from March 22 to 31, on Kish Island in Iran.
The top two teams from the championship will qualify for the World Championships in Greece.
The Qatari beach handball team seeks to maintain the Asian title that it won in the last five editions in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019, to qualify for the World Championships for the sixth time in a row.
