Training on biosecurity in fish farms held

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Department of Fisheries and in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, organized a training course on bio-security in fish farms.
The three-day course discussed the importance of aquaculture in Arab countries and the world, disease problems in fish farms and the biosecurity measures, as well as some of the different issues related to the course topic.
Meanwhile, the two sides are also organising a five-day training course entitled “Epidemiological Survey and Risk Analysis” for veterinarians in livestock management to provide them with basic concepts and information regarding the epidemiological survey in terms of research and follow up to identify the pathological factors in the field environment and its causes.
