DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has launched the fourth round of its training programme targeting 122 of its middle level employees.
The programme started on November 15 and continues until November 26 to prepare trainees to take leadership and supervisory positions. The programme for administrative staff, including assistant directors and heads of divisions, features training in innovative skills development, working under pressure, making changes and development within systematic and constructive strategy.
Participants have learned about latest methods and practices in administrative and institutional works besides skills of developing plans, setting measurable aims and targets.
Qualifying and preparing mid-level employees for promotion to leadership and supervisory positions is part of the ministry’s strategy to create efficient and skilled leaders at all levels and departments, said Jabr Abdullah Al Attiya, Director, HR.
The ministry is one of the first to develop and implement such programme, he added, adding that after training middle level employees, the ministry will start training junior staff for promotion to heads of sections.
