Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior, as part of its efforts to develop electronic services, launched the 'Sooum' mobile application on Monday, October 23, 2023, to streamline the auctions that the department often conducts.
The application is a step to allow interested parties to express their interest and bid for purchasing goods that are frequently auction by the Ministry of Interior. The department often conducts auctions for distinctive number plates, vehicles, boats, equipment, electronic devices, and other goods.
In its initial stage, the application is limited to auctioning distinctive traffic plate numbers, and it can be downloaded from the app store and can be accessed through the registration details of the Metrash 2 application, or by creating a new account.
Sooum application was developed according to advanced technical systems and provides its users with a distinguished experience, as it contains the best features, including (automated bidding, smart search, and suggestions).
The application offers two types of special number plate auctions: bidding and expressions of interest. It allows the public to participate in an auction until October 31, 2023, with more categories to be added later.
