Qatar Airways to display three aircraft at Dubai airshow

DOHA: Qatar Airways (QA) Wednesday said it will showcase Boeing 787 Dreamliner among three other aircraft at the Dubai Airshow 2013 to be held at the Dubai World Central in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from November 17 to 21.
 
Qatar's national carrier with feature a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with custom-made interior featuring 254 seats; 22 in Business Class in a 1– 2– 1 configuration and a 232 seating capacity in Economy with a 3–3–3 layout. 
 
Among the other two aircraft, Qatar Executive will showcase one of its Bombardier Global 5000 featuring a spacious two cabin configuration with a separate galley.
 
Qatar Airways Cargo will showcase the Airbus A330F which will debut at the Dubai Airshow. 
 
It is one of a fleet of eight which serves more than 40 exclusive freighter destinations worldwide via its Doha hub. 
 
QA CEO Akbar Al Baker said, "The Dubai Airshow is not only one of the most important aerospace events in the Middle East but in the world." 
 
"This is evident in the exponential growth of the airshow in recent years and the influx of international businesses in the region over the last decade."
 
The 2013 show expects 1,000 exhibitors from around the world along with 60,000 trade visitors and up to 1,500 international and regional media.
 
This year's new home for the Dubai Airshow, the Dubai World Central features a purpose-built site for the Airshow, improved parking and catering facilities as well as a larger static park. (QNA)
