NEW DELHI:  Impressive batting by Suresh Raina and Michael Hussey helped Chennai Super Kings register 4-wicket win over Titans in their Champions League Twenty20 match in Ranchi yesterday.

David Wiese gave the Titans an important breakthrough when he dismissed the dangerous Suresh Raina. Raina’s blistering 28-ball 47 helped the Super Kings revive their run chase soon after opener Murali Vijay was bowled for a first-ball duck by Roelof van der Merwe. Chasing a massive 186-run target, Raina and Michael Hussey pumped life in the Super Kings by stitching an impressive 89-run partnership for the second wicket.  Just after Raina was caught by Morne Morkel, Hussey (47) too was dismissed.

Earlier, AB de Villiers’s hurricane 36-ball 77 and skipper Henry Davids’ responsible 52 paved the way for Titans’ challenging 185 for five. AGENCIES
