Students attend a session during the summer course.
DOHA: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Department of Dawah and Religious Guidance and its Quran and Sciences Section, is organising a summer course for students of Al Noor Quranic Educational Centre from August 15 to 29, 2026, with the participation of 41 Qatari students.
The programme is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote the learning and memorisation of the Holy Quran, strengthen Quranic and educational development among young people, and make productive use of the summer vacation through programmes that combine education, moral development and character building.
Held daily from Saturday to Thursday, from 10am to 2pm, the course provides an integrated educational environment designed to strengthen students’ connection with the Holy Quran and help them improve their memorisation, recitation and revision skills under the supervision of specialised Quran teachers.
The course provides an engaging learning environment aimed at improving students’ abilities in memorisation, revision and recitation through educational plans that take into account individual differences among participants.
The programme also seeks to deepen students’ connection with the Holy Quran and instil its meanings and values in their lives, helping nurture a generation that carries the Quran not only through memorisation but also through conduct and daily practice, while encouraging positive contributions to society and the nation.
Beyond Quran memorisation and revision sessions, the summer course features an integrated educational and faith-based programme that includes guidance lessons, educational lectures and cultural activities.
These activities focus on instilling Islamic values and good morals, encouraging positive behaviour, and strengthening students’ sense of belonging, responsibility and commitment. The programme reflects the Department of Dawah and Religious Guidance’s approach of combining Quranic education with faith-based upbringing to support students’ intellectual, educational and personal development.
Al Noor Quranic Educational Centre is one of the specialised centres affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs that focuses on Qatari students. It provides specialised educational programmes designed to develop their Quranic abilities and talents while strengthening their connection with the Holy Quran and its values. The centre continues to provide an attractive educational environment that meets the needs of Qatari students and contributes to their upbringing based on Islamic principles and established moral values.
The summer course is part of a wider series of Quranic programmes and courses organised by Al Noor Quranic Educational Centre throughout the year.
