Doha: A section of the Temporary Truck Route will have a diversion as shown on the attached map.
The diversion, which is located approximately 2.3km south of the Dukhan Highway-Temporary Truck Route interchange, will be implemented in coordination with the Traffic Police Department, Ashghal announced.
The diversion will start on Thursday, August 25 2016 and will be in operation for a period of twelve months.
During this period, road users travelling in both directions along the Temporary Truck Route will be diverted to a 4.6 kilometre-long parallel road, as shown on the attached map. Ashghal anticipates that this road change should have minimal impact on transit time for vehicles using the Temporary Truck Route to travel towards Salwa Road or Lusail.
The diversion of this section of the Temporary Truck Route is required to facilitate construction of the mainline roadway on Ashghal’s New Orbital Highway and Truck Route project.
Ashghal will install road signs to advise motorists of the closure. Ashghal requests that all road users to abide by the speed limit, which has been reduced to 80 kph for vehicles and 50 kph for trucks, and to follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
