Executive committees of Scientific Excellence Award review plan for 14th session

Doha: Dr. Hamda Hassan Al Sulaiti, CEO of the Scientific Excellence Award and Secretary-General of the Qatar National Committee for Education, Culture and Science at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, revealed the most important developments and progress of the work of the executive committees of the 14th session of the Scientific Excellence Award in 2021, that started remotely in April.

Dr. Al Sulaiti said the committee reviewed the full plan for the award’s activities and the media plan for the award in its 14th session, adding that technical committees (arbitration committees and the development committee) were formed. It also discussed the various activities of the award such as the honouring ceremony, the documentary exhibition, and other activities related to the award, and addressed public and private schools regarding the nomination of the coordinator of the award and the online system to apply for the award, she explained.

Also, the committee reviewed the media plan proposed by the Public Relations and Communication Department of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to implement introductory meetings, the press conference, and the film on scientific excellence with the presentation of several proposals for the award documentary exhibition, and it was agreed to shoot a video of the general induction meeting and training workshops and publish them on the award website, and on social media, she pointed out.

Dr. Hamda Al Sulaiti indicated that it has been agreed to submit applications online and to coordinate with the Information Systems Department regarding establishing an online system for that. She emphasised the role of the Executive Committee of the Scientific Excellence Award in its 14th session 2021 and the unremitting efforts to ensure the success of the agenda and work of the Scientific Excellence Award, which is one of the most important scientific awards held annually at the country level.

The award includes: the scientific excellence award for primary stage students, the scientific excellence award for middle school students, the prize for scientific excellence for high school graduates, as well as for university graduates, holders of master’s and doctorate degrees, distinguished teacher, distinguished school, and distinguished scientific research.
