Beirut: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as the post-UNIFIL phase in southern Lebanon, in a phone call on Tuesday.
During the call, the two presidents also reviewed bilateral relations and ongoing coordination between their countries.
President Aoun commended the recent statements made by Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa, in which he affirmed Damascus's commitment to Lebanon's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
