Makkah Al Mukarramah: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health honored the medical unit of Qatar's Hajj mission, awarding it a certificate of appreciation in recognition of its medical preparedness and integrated efforts in establishing an advanced health care system to serve Qatari pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season.
The recognition was presented during a ceremony for medical offices serving Hajj delegations, held under the patronage of Eng.
Abdullah bin Ali Al Nuaim, deputy minister for licensing and compliance at the Saudi Health Ministry. Dr. Khalid Abdulhadi, head of the medical unit of the Qatari Hajj mission, received the award on behalf of the delegation.
The honor recognized the unit's comprehensive preparations and medical infrastructure, which were developed in accordance with the highest medical and organizational standards.
The efforts reflect Qatar's continued commitment to providing the highest levels of health care and safety for its pilgrims and enabling them to perform Hajj rituals in a safe and healthy environment.
The medical unit established fully equipped field clinics for men and women in Makkah Al Mukarramah and the holy sites, supported by the latest medical technologies and equipment.
It also deployed specialized medical and nursing staff across a range of fields, including family medicine, emergency care, infectious diseases, ear, nose, and throat medicine, pharmacy and paramedic services, to ensure continuous preventive and treatment services around the clock throughout the pilgrimage.
The Qatari Hajj mission said the recognition reflected the success of the operational plans and early preparations carried out by the medical unit as part of an integrated system operating with a high degree of coordination among the mission's administrative, technical, medical and service departments.
The mission added that the honor underscored Qatar's commitment, under the guidance of the wise leadership, to developing health and preventive services for its pilgrims and mobilizing all human, technical and technological resources to ensure their comfort and safety, in line with the state's vision of enhancing quality of life and delivering advanced government services according to the highest international standards.
