Doha: Minister of Sports and Youth H E Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali honoured the first-place winning schools in the 15th Robotics Schools Championship, which concluded yesterday.
It was organised by the Qatar Scientific Club of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Male and female students from 160 public and private schools participated in the event held in Lusail Multipurpose Hall.
Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Maha Zayed Al Ruwaili attended the event.
Executive Director of Qatar Scientific Club Eng. Rashid Al Rahimi said that cooperation between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education had a great impact on guaranteeing the success of the competition.
He praised the efforts of the committees that worked on hosting the competition and the volunteers, as well as the participating teams and judges. He added that the goal of Qatar Scientific Club was to make a contribution to the realisation of Qatar National Vision 2030.
