Doha: Barzan Holdings and its subsidiary Barzan Maintenance Shield (BMS) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding, four contracts, and a letter of intent for joint cooperation with Milaha, BAE Systems, Aselsan, and Nurol Makina, as part of the activities of the 7th Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) 2022.
The contracts, the MoU and the letter of intent were signed by Vice-President and Chief Strategic Procurement Officer of Barzan Holdings Abdullah Hassan Al Khater, and Manager of Barzan Maintenance Shield Sultan Ibrahim Al Kuwari.
In a statement, Sultan Al Kuwari said these partnerships aim to strengthen relations with local and international partners, through the provision of services and technology transfer, pointing out that one of them is related to the maintenance of the systems produced by the Turkish company “Aselsan” and used in Qatar.
This partnership will take place in Qatar by establishing a local maintenance workshop run by the parent company and supported by Barzan with the aim of training local capabilities in the field of maintenance.
He said the letter of intent for cooperation was signed with Milaha to benefit from its services in the field of maintenance for the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces in terms of supporting national companies.
