GECF Summit is promising platform for more cooperation opportunities

Doha: Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov underlined that the 6th GECF Summit in Doha is a promising platform that offers more broad cooperation opportunities to achieve common interests and search for innovative solutions to the reality of the oil industry.

In his speech at the opening session of the summit, he stressed the important role of natural gas as clean energy for the whole world, pointing out the importance of continuing consultation and coordination between producing and consuming countries for the stability of the global gas market. 

He called for reaching economic partnerships in accordance with a specific policy and strategy that adopts the principle of international cooperation among all related parties.

He said that Azerbaijan supports all policies and strategies that achieve the principle of balance between energy, development, and diversification of its sources and the environment. He referred in this regard to the energy-related crises the world is facing now, pointing out that energy security depends on the adopted policy in this regard.
