Football: Iraq beat Iran to reach Asian Cup semis

Canberra - Iraq beat 10-man arch-rivals Iran 7-6 on penalties in a thrilling quarter-final at the Asian Cup on Friday.

Salam Shakir hit the winning penalty after the teams were locked at 1-1 at full-time and 3-3 after extra time to force the spot-kicks.
