BEIRUT: The Syrian army urged rebels on Tuesday to use food being kept in warehouses in east Aleppo to feed the people, one week into renewed air strikes and bombardment of the besieged rebel-held half of the city.
"The general command of the armed forces calls upon militants in the neighbourhoods of east Aleppo to open ration warehouses and distribute food to those that need it," the statement said.
