Ashghal announces road closures in various areas

Doha, Qatar: The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has announced temporary road closure in several parts of the Doha. 

Throughout the road closure period, Ashghal urged road users to adhere to speed limit, use all available diversion routes, and consider rerouting through nearby alternative streets to reach their destinations.

Sharq Interchange

Temporary full closure of Sharq interchange will be in effect for traffic coming from four directions, keeping free right turns accessible for road users.

The road closure will take effect from 12am until 5am on Thursday, October 23, 2025, to carry out road maintenance works.

Thani Bin Jassim interchange   

Ashghal announced closure of one southbound lane on Thani Bin Jassim interchange  for a period of eight days starting from Thursday, October 23 until Friday, October 31, 2025, to carry out maintenance works in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

During the closure period, southbound motorists can use the remaining lanes as shown on the map to reach their destinations.

Al Mazrouah Road 

A temporary full road closure on Al Mazrouah Road for traffic coming from Lusail via Al Mazrouah Interchange and heading toward Um Slal Ali will be in place.

The road closure will take effect from 2am till 10am on Friday, October 24, 2025, to complete the installation of ITS Gantry.  

Al Kharaitiyat Interchange 

Two temporary closures are announced at Al Kharaitiyat Interchange - one for the exit leading to Al Ebb for users coming from Izghawa towards Al Kharaitiyat Interchange and another for two lanes leading to Al Kharaitiyat from Doha.  

Road users coming from Izghawa towards Al Kharaitiyat Interchange will not be able to use the exit leading to Al Ebb from 12 midnight to 5am on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Meanwhile a temporary closure for the two lanes exit leading to Al Kharaitiyat and Al Ebb from Doha will also be in effect starting Monday, October 27, 2025, at 12 midnight till 5am. 

During this period, road users heading towards Al Ebb Street and Al Rifaa Street are advised to use Izghawa Interchange, then turn left onto Qutifan Street to reach their destinations, as shown on the attached map.
