There has been a big reaction on social media networks to a column in a local newspaper which talked about the long lines for visas in front of the US Embassy. 

People are requesting the Municipality to prepare the beaches in the country by making sure all facilities are available as Eid holidays are coming. 

There was reaction to the system of hiring and recruitment of Qataris at Qatar Foundation and its associated organisations. 

There is discussion about encouraging people to marry two or more wives in order to solve the population and demographic problem in the country.

There has been a campaign to boycott Arab Idol, a TV programme, which will be coming to Qatar for auditions.

A request has been made to the Supreme Education Council to prevent female teachers from teaching boys in elementary schools.

Spring break will start in all government schools from February 10 to February 21, 2013. 

All social networks were active when the stories of the demonstrations in Lebanon and Kuwait broke out.

There has been a discussion about some real estate brokers who rent some residential units and divide them into small rooms, which they sub-lease to other people. There is a general concern about the safety of these places. 

With the start of the picnic season, many people are calling the community to avoid leaving their garbage and littering in beaches, deserts and other public areas.
