DOHA: The fifth edition of the Qatar International Businesswomen Forum will be held in December 2014. Organised by the Qatari Businesswomen Association in collaboration with Interactive Business Network, the annual businesswomen’s event will be conducted under the theme ‘Business Women and the New Age of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Social Responsibility’.
Taking off from last year’s highly successful edition, this year’s event promises to be another extremely productive and highly informative forum. It also presents huge opportunities for exchanges of information, sharing of knowledge and networking among participants due to the huge number and high quality of speakers and attendees from all over the world.
“Our role in society has been steadily increasing in significance,” said Aisha Alfardan (pictured), Vice Chairwoman of the Qatari Businesswomen Association. “We have risen from the ranks to occupy sensitive and senior managerial posts as well as drive our own businesses to greater heights. Today, a significant number of women achievers like us from this region and across the world occupy some of the most important positions, whether in politics or in business. Thus, as we continuously gather and discuss our expanding role in society and find ways by which to tackle the issues and challenges that lie ahead, I am confident that women and businesswomen will surely be able to effect even greater change through this new age of innovation, entrepreneurship and social responsibility.”
Raed Chehaib, CEO of Interactive Business Network said: “With their rapidly increasing roles in creating and shaping policy or mapping out growth paths for businesses, it is imperative for women business leaders to have a platform wherein they can share knowledge, expertise and experiences and discuss ways by which they can effectively work together and effect further change for the betterment of our future societies.”
