Doha, Qatar: The Agricultural Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, is organising a national training course on “Modern Trends in Diagnosis of Agricultural Pests”, from August 20 to 24, at the headquarters of the Agriculture Affairs Sector and food security.
This is within the framework of the Ministry of Municipality’s keenness to qualify and train its employees in accordance with the latest international standards. The training course, presented by Eng Samir Abdallah at the Agricultural Affairs Department, aims to raise the capabilities of agricultural engineers and agricultural quarantine inspectors in diagnosing and controlling agricultural pests.
The course covered a number of main axes, including: the most important agricultural pests in Qatar and their current situation, how to build and evaluate control programmes compatible with agricultural pests, methods, and methods for diagnosing agricultural pests.
