Doha: Aspetar will be hosting a symposium on Medicine and Science in Football less than a month before Qatar is set to host the most prestigious event, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Set on October 22, the symposium will discuss the journey of a football player before, during, and after a big event like the World Cup.
The event will also allow the public to be a key partner in players’ health and performance journey.
“These all-consuming journeys to perform well are also quests to stay healthy, perform in a safe environment, and deal with the possible injury consequences of high-level football. Aspetar and Aspire Academy are uniquely positioned to support all athletes — not only elite football players,” Aspetar said.
The Medicine and Science in Football symposium will be held at Aspire Academy Football Performance Centre, and will run from 9am to 5.30pm.
