QUYSC announces launch of 6th Youth Research Forum 2024

Doha, Qatar: Qatar University Young Scientists Center (QUYSC) has announced the details of the Sixth Youth Research Forum 2024 which is due to be held from March 6, 2024.

This forum serves as a global platform for young researchers to convene, exchange experiences, and present their innovative research findings. Under the theme “Innovation for Developing Societies,” the event aims to foster collaboration and inspire groundbreaking solutions to the challenges faced in various scientific, technological, social, and economic fields.

Expressing her thoughts on the significance of scientific research and development, Prof. Noora Al Thani, Director of the QU Young Scientists Center said: “Universities have the largest and most important role in the movement of scientific research and development, as they are the highest educational and research institutions. QU has always been a pioneer in achieving important strategies and aspirations to ensure the country’s progress and spread its benefits to the world.”

The Youth Research Forum 2024 invites undergraduate and postgraduate students from Qatar, the GCC, and international universities to participate and showcase their research within the following themes: First is Humanities and Social Sciences, the theme focuses on the role of innovation in the humanities and social sciences, emphasising its impact on developing societies.

Researchers are encouraged to submit papers that explore the following topics: Innovations of Muslim Scientists: Discoveries that Changed the World; Critical Thinking in the Humanities: Teaching, Learning, and Research; Social innovation; Integrating innovation into the social sciences and humanities; A creative or educational innovation such as a game, activity, media artifact, or resource; Innovation and communication: exploring the history of innovations in communication technologies and their impact on society, from the printing press to the internet; Innovation and the arts: exploring the history of artistic innovation, including the development of new artistic styles, techniques, and technologies; Innovation and globalization: exploring the history of innovation and its role in shaping the processes of globalization, including the development of global trade networks and the spread of cultural ideas; and, Study the development of new technologies and ideas and their impact on society.

Second theme is Legal Legislation: Strengthening the Role of Innovation in Societal Development.

It centers around the role of the law in consolidating the concept of innovation and its impact on the development of societies.

Third theme is the scientific research which highlights the role of science, engineering, and health in developing societies.
