Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) concluded on Thursday the basic aviation security training course for officers, aiming to introduce the trainees to the laws, systems, and procedures related to airport security and raise the security culture among participants.
The training course aimed to provide the trainees with knowledge related to aviation security requirements by laws, regulations, and legislation, and training in mechanisms to enhance the security and safety of passengers, and to introduce them to security procedures and measures and to respond appropriately in the event of any threat to the safety of aviation security.
The course, supervised by the Airport Security Department, also witnessed practical training on the various inspection devices and presented the types of prohibited materials and methods of smuggling them.
Director of the Airport Security Department Colonel Khamis Mohammed Al Muraikhi said that MoI has attached great importance to training and considered it one of the main pillars for the development of human cadres due to its belief that the competence and excellence of its personnel will only be achieved through systematic and permanent training and development.
He stressed the keenness of the MoI to provide security personnel with security sciences and technical skills through training programs designed by local and international standards and requirements aimed at excellence and leadership in various security fields, the most important of which is aviation security.
