Doha, Qatar: Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem met today with a delegation from the Parliament of the United Kingdom, led by MP Alon Kearns, who is President of the Qatar-UK Friendship Association, who is currently visiting the country to attend the third edition of Qatar Economic Forum.
During the meeting, HE Speaker of the Shura Council welcomed the parliamentary delegation, expressing his appreciation of the parliamentary relations between the two countries.
For its part, the delegation praised the experience of the State of Qatar in promoting popular participation, and the efforts of the Shura Council in this regard.
The meeting also discussed a number of issues related to bilateral cooperation and strengthening parliamentary relations between the two sides.
A number of Their Excellencies members of the Council attended the meeting.
