As a part of community welfare programme, DPS-MIS students of grade IX along with the teachers Jayanthi Rajagoplalan, Neetu Adhlakha and Azeez Bhasha visited Ras Laffan Industrial City on May 11.

Ramadorai, Environment Engineer, Ras Laffan, briefed the students on safety, turtle hatching, beach cleaning and community service which were the major agendas of the day. A visit to the world’s third largest LNG producing industrial city was an enlightening experience and helped the students to visualise the integration of all streams of science. The students participated enthusiastically in the ‘beach cleanup’ as their commitment towards the environment. They also learned the importance of marine conservation on visiting the ‘turtle hatching area’.
