Ooredoo staff volunteers visited young patients at Hamad Hospital as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility activity schedule this Ramadan, the telecommunications operator announced.
Ooredoo staff received a warm welcome from nurses, hospital staff and the young patients at the hospital, who are undergoing treatment there.
The volunteers were pleased to spend time chatting to and connecting with the young patients, and surprised them with Toys R Us gift vouchers in honour of the holy month.
Moza Khalid Al Muhannadi, Director CSR, Sponsorship and Media at Ooredoo – said, “Supporting our local communities is a key focus for Ooredoo as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy, and Ramadan is the perfect time for us to show our support in a practical way. We were delighted to continue our annual tradition of visiting and supporting local healthcare facilities this year. We thank the hospital’s staff and management for welcoming our volunteers, and wish all staff and patients a safe, peaceful and blessed holy month and Eid.”
The visit was one in a series of Ooredoo’s charitable initiatives benefiting the local community during the holy month of Ramadan.
