Doha: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that investigation teams have begun working to uncover the causes of the collapse of a building in Doha's Bin Durham neighbourhood.
MoI's Director of Public Relations Department, Brigadier Abdullah Khalifa Al Muftah told QNA that the investigation authorities have begun procedures to uncover the causes of the building's collapse, which occurred at around 8:30 am in the Bin Durham area in central Doha, pointing to the continuation of search and rescue operations at the site.
Brigadier Al Muftah described that the conditions of the injured are mild to moderate, pointing out that they are receiving the necessary treatment.
He also indicated that the specialized teams evacuated the families from the adjacent buildings "as a precautionary measure" and transferred them to a hotel "where they receive appropriate psychological support from the community police.
Earlier today, the MoI announced that the Civil Defence and other relevant authorities rescued seven persons after the building collapsed, however, one person who was inside the building died.
