Doha: The brightest planet of our solar system, Venus, will reach Aphelion Point (the farthest point from Sun) in its orbit around Sun tomorrow at 8pm, according to Qatar Calendar house (QCH) .
It will be 109 million Kilometres approximately from the Sun’s center at this time and it was 107 million kilometres from the center last October.  Astronomer expert at QCH, Dr Beshir Marzouk, said, Venus moves in its orbit around Sun on Ellipse (elliptical) orbit, so that Venus’s distance from the Sun’s centre varies approximately by 1%, ie Venus’s distance from the Sun’s center varies from 107million kilometres at perihelion (nearest point) to 109 million kilometres at aphelion (outermost point).
The average distance between Venus and Sun is 108 million kilometres approximately.
Tomorrow, the set time of Venus will be a few minutes after sunset in Qatar sky and all Arabic area countries sky.  Consequently, residents  of all Arabic area and Qatar residents will not have the chance to observe Venus over western horizon after Sunset.
Venus reaching to Aphelion point around the sun every 225 days, where it reached Aphelion point last time on Tuesday June 13, 2017. It will reach Aphelion point again this year on September 5., Dr Beshir Marzouk added.
The planet Venus is one of just two planets that rotate around its axis from east to west.  Only Venus and Uranus have this “backwards” rotation, while other planets in solar system rotate around its axis from west to east direction.
