Students prepare for Physics Olympiad

Training and Educational Development Center launched yesterday its training programme for 30 students in preparation for the Gulf Physics Olympiad to be held in Saudi Arabia from April 2 till April 5, and Physics Olympiad to be held in Indonesia between 16th to 24th July.
In preparation for the Olympiads, the science department of the Training and Educational Development Center are offering a training program run by local and international educators in different physics fields.
During the program, the students undergo several tests, where the top five are chosen to represent Qatar in the Olympiad.
The students are then trained for six days after school, in preparation for the Olympiad.
The plan is under the supervision of director of the office of Education Supervision Rima Abu Khadija, and director of Education Institute Fawzia Al Khater, and ratified by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahed Al-Hammadi.
