Doha, Qatar: The third edition of the “Beyond Reality” International Circus kicked off yesterday at Souq Al Wakra, organised by the Celebrations Organising Committee of the Private Engineering Office, amid strong public turnout from the very first day.

Khaled Al Suwaidi, General Supervisor of the International Circus, said in statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the launch of the current edition comes at a carefully selected time, coinciding with the start of the school holidays, as well as the arrival of large numbers of visitors to the country to attend the Arab Cup.

Many visitors, he noted, are keen to explore Qatar’s tourist and entertainment attractions, which has positively reflected on attendance indicators and ticket sales.

Al Suwaidi explained that this year’s edition is completely different from previous ones, reflecting the organizing committee’s commitment to offering a renewed experience to audiences each season.

He noted that the circus features a group of animals, including tigers and leopards, numbering around seven in total, in addition to a selection of outstanding international performances, most notably dog shows, considered among the best of their kind, as well as sleight-of-hand acts.

He added that the event includes around nine diverse performances, each lasting approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

The shows are characterised by excitement and suspense, cater to all family members, and feature acts being presented for the first time in Qatar.

He expressed his expectation that the current edition will attract a wide public turnout. Regarding the choice of venue, Al Suwaidi noted that hosting the circus at Old Al Wakra Market aligns with the organising committee’s approach to diversifying event locations outside Doha, particularly given the market’s strong tourism and heritage appeal. He emphasized that the market has, in recent years, become a well-known destination for hosting circus performances.

In closing, Al Suwaidi affirmed the organising committee’s commitment to attracting the latest and best international acts in every edition and delivering fresh, non-repetitive content, reinforcing the status of the Beyond Reality International Circus as one of the country’s leading entertainment events.
