Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with Jaidah Motors & Trading Company, the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in Qatar, has announced the recall of 2021-2023 Chevrolet Captiva, as in a small number of vehicles, exposed to high ambient temperatures, smoke or fire has occurred in the engine compartment while or after driving, which may affect the safe operation of the vehicle or the safety of the vehicle occupants.
The Ministry said the recall campaign came within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs. The Ministry said that it would coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and would communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs were carried out.
The Ministry has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Combatting Commercial Fraud Department.
