DOHA: Reflecting its staunch commitment to the promotion of sustainable processes, leading construction firm Galfar Al Misnad recently concluded their fifth annual Quality Week with a grand closing ceremony at the Indian Cultural Centre.
This year’s Quality Week was held in conjunction with Qatar Sustainability Week 2018, which was organized by Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC).
Themed ‘Engage, Learn, Improve’, Galfar’s Quality Week was designed to raise awareness on the importance of quality for ensuring the long-term success and growth of a business. “Quality is all about trust. Unless you have the trust of your customers, you cannot sustain any business. Ensuring quality in each and every aspect of the business process adds to the trust,” said Navaneetha Shetty, head of the company’s QHSE department, while addressing the gathering at the closing ceremony.
Shetty further said that Galfar Al Misnad’s track record in delivering high-quality projects that require no maintenance, even during the allotted service period, greatly helped establish the company’s reputation as a trustworthy construction partner in the various development sectors in Qatar.
Galfar Al Misnad’s success over its nearly 25 years of service can be attributed to its well-established Quality and HSE management systems that are certified to ISO standards.
Galfar Al Misnad’s Executive Director, Satish Pillai, inaugurated Quality Week 2018 by leading employees across the company’s offices and sites in taking a quality pledge. Activities during the week included a diverse selection of lectures conducted by external, as well as in-house experts; problem solving discussions based on lessons learnt; site based training programs; and an online Quality quiz for technical as well as non-technical staff, in which more than 50% of staff members participated.
