Qatar’s new store will have an extensive range of locally known brands - including the widest range of organic, fresh items from local farmers. Monoprix will also bring internationally well-loved brands to Qatar, for the first time, from UK, Spain, Italy and all around the world, including new make-up ranges from Paris and Milan. Bringing its own French heritage to Qatar, the store will be home to an authentic French bakery, a waffle house and an impressive “Cave à Fromage," which will be stocked with a wide selection of the finest international cheeses.
Sebastien Farhat, Regional General Manager of Monoprix said: “We are delighted to announce our newest and largest outlet and we want to tell the market to expect something very special from Monoprix, as we widen our footprint in Qatar. We believe that Doha Festival City is set to be a ‘must-visit’ destination that will become a part of the fabric of Qatar life, and so we are very proud to be opening here soon as a part of it.”
Trevor Hill, General Manager of Doha Festival City Mall adds, “We are delighted that Monoprix has entrusted its largest store worldwide to Doha Festival City. We are confident that Monoprix’s excellent reputation in customer service and unique product lines, will complement our very carefully selected range of brands within Doha Festival City, as well as reinforcing our commitment to offering shoppers a world class experience.”
Monoprix will be just one of more than 500 retail brands opening on site – with other offerings including fine and casual dining, green spaces as well as indoor and outdoor entertainment hubs. Hill continued: “Hypermarkets are one of the key drivers of mall footfall in Qatar, so we expect a significant portion of the 20 million visitors expected annually to be driven by Monoprix as well as our other key leisure, retail and hospitality outlets.”
