DOHA: The anti-software piracy department has set up a hotline to receive complaints of suspected violations of the law that bans piracy of computer and other software. People can contact 44842274 to pass on information about pirated computer software as well as pirated films and DVDs and CDs for action. The number belongs to Qatar’s Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Centre. The hotline has been set up as part of the Center’s concerted efforts to crackdown on software piracy, including sales of pirated film and song DVDs and CDs, among other things.
